Happy summer, Tongalers! Today is the first official day of summer 2017, and it got us thinking about all the wonderful things that summer brings: vacations, trips to the beach, enjoying a cold one with your friends. To get us all in that summer spirit, we’ve gathered a collection of videos produced by the Tongal community that perfectly encapsulate all those summer feels.

1. Trek to the Beach - Capitol Records

Created for the California Feelin’ Beach Boys Music Video Project, this video taps into how most of us feel during the summer when we’re cooped up inside at work or stuck in traffic, but we’d much rather be enjoying the beautiful weather at the beach. And while California isn’t the only place to catch that beachy feelin’, it holds a special place in our collective imaginations as the home of perpetual summer.
2. Beach Blonde Kissed By The Sea - John Frieda

Speaking of the beach, how awesome does your hair look after a dip in the ocean?!? John Frieda created a whole line of haircare products that help you achieve that tousled, wavy look (and even brighten up your already golden locks) all year long. With dreamy aerial shots of the coastline and a classic red convertible, this spot makes us wanna go on a roadtrip in a drop-top.
3. Summer Sangria - Ocean Spray

When it’s hot outside, we like to reach for a cold drink, and this Summer Sangria recipe looks dead simple (but oh so yummy). Filmmakers Black Chicken employed stop motion fruit animation with live action footage to really sell how refreshing this drink is. We can almost taste it through our computer screen!
4. The Ilene Walk - MasterCard

Summer vacation doesn’t always mean a trip to the beach. It’s also great to get away and explore a new city. In this video, Ilene shows us all the wonders of her personal London and reminds us that sometimes you don’t have to go much further than your own backyard to go on an adventure.

Here’s another great spot that will make you want to go on an adventure. Because when it’s summer and the warm days stretch out before you like saltwater taffy, it feels like everything is possible.

And finally, what would summer be without a little romance? There’s nothing quite like falling in love set against the backdrop of nighttime bonfires and the open ocean.

Sadly, summer doesn’t last forever. When the season comes to an end, you know it’s time to go back-to-school! Luckily this mom has got everything under control, so even if we don’t necessarily want to go back to school, we can trust that we’ll go in style with all our supplies at the ready, including Kleenex.
