2016 is officially done and gone, but we’re not finished celebrating all the excellent creative work Tongalers put in over the past year. That’s right, the Tongies Awards are back for a fourth installment on March 23rd and YOU have the chance to help decide the winners.
Each year, our creative community of writers, animators and filmmakers amaze us with brilliant, hilarious, emotional, knock-our-socks-off content, and the task of choosing who deserves to have their work recognized with a Tongie Nomination only gets harder and harder.
The Tongies is more than a splashy celebration for a select few creators though. It’s a time to reflect on all the awesome contributions of our entire, global community. In the past year, Tongalers from 137 countries created 37,119 Idea Submissions and 525 Video Submissions, and 250 community members scored their first win in 2016. That’s a whole heck of a lot to celebrate!
We’ve obsessively combed through each and every Submission from the past year to honor the absolute cream of the crop in categories such as Best Animation, Best Comedy, Best Idea, and the coveted Video of the Year. But before we can walk the red carpet in style and hand out any statues, we leave it to our community to have the final say on who should win.
A huge congrats to our talented nominees and all the Tongalers who made their mark in the past year! Click here to watch all the nominated work and vote for your favorites by noon PT on Monday, February 6th.
