In 2016 alone, Tongalers created over 500 videos for our brand partners. Sometimes we’re so busy creating that we forget that we should also be celebrating once all the hard work is over and a video has been released out into the world. There truly is SO much to celebrate that it’s hard to know where to begin, but with Tongies IV still fresh in our minds, we think it’s fitting that we highlight some recent work by our Tongaler of the Year recipient, The Indie Machines!
Just over a year ago, you may recall a project we did with the LEGO Group called Beyond the Instructions. The brief invited filmmakers to share their vision for what could happen when open-ended creativity collided with LEGO bricks. The Indie Machines Pitched, created a Pilot, and then received the greenlight to create a Series for the LEGO YouTube channel. It’s been such a success that LEGO ordered a second “season” - currently online - with a third “season” expected to follow later this year!
Hosted by The Indie Machine’s own Erik Beck, this series follows Erik as he builds a specific LEGO playset then breaks it down and builds it back together in an even more awesomely over-the-top fashion. The series is snappy, a lot of fun and, with nearly 12 million views across 12 episodes, has been eagerly received by LEGO fans across the world!
Each episode clocks in at a super-snackable 2-minutes-or-less, so it’s easy to watch them all in one sitting. We’ve embedded the full playlist below, so get watching and let ‘em know what you think with a comment down below or on YouTube!
