The artist John Olson (he/they) is a graphic designer, art director, illustrator, and a performance artist based in Harlem. Born in Poughkeepsie, New York, he spent seven years in Columbus, Ohio, before moving to New York City seven years later. John studied at Columbus College of Art and Design and Pratt Institute for his undergraduate and graduate degrees. In addition to an interest in design, John has been active in LGBTQ activism and has been a visual storyteller for years.
Over the course of his career that spans branding, advertising, digital, print, experiential design and illustration, John has focused on conceptually driven graphic design. John has collaborated with IHG, Facebook, Forever 21, and Google.
