Explanation via visual metaphor. Show a Newton's cradle w/ VO:"once upon a time, every action would result in an equal and opposite reaction." Easy physics; the audience gets it. A hand shifts the cradle, triggering a Rube Goldberg machine, each stage representing the influence and impact of human activity on the environment as part of a chain reaction. The story unfolds naturally to explain the process of ocean acidification. We don't show the last step, because we don't yet know how it ends.
