ABOUT
Evelyn Vaccaro is a rising star in multimedia communications whether shes acting, hosting, producing, or directing. She is a dynamic host of the hit series A Taste from the Melting Pot on public TV, as well as host of a reality show that will change scuba diving forever, Ultimate Diver Challenge.
Pam Bertrand, Executive Director of Ultimate Diver Challenge, counts on Ev as a high-energy host: Evelyn prepares and is well-versed prior to any shoot! Her flexibility and ability to self-direct make working with her priceless. She is a natural talent on camera and pleasingly natural in person.
Based in Los Angeles and bi-coastal, Evelyn is a member of both the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Recording Artists.
Talent and Versatility
A charismatic and award-winning host, Ev received RSN/TV Arc Awards in 2006 and 2007. Resort Sports Network focuses on lifestyle, extreme sports, and outdoor adventure. In her five years with RSN in Vermont, she hosted a variety of shows ranging from studio reporting to sports interviews at the ski slopes. As an extrovert with empathy, Evelyn has a natural talent for spontaneous conversations on camera. Reflecting on her work with RSN, she says I pretty much taught myself how to relate to viewers.
Evelyn was chosen as host for A Taste From the Melting Pot, a show looking into the lives of families from foreign countries who have come to call America home. Evelyn can also be seen covering some of the hottest Red Carpet Film Premieres in New York and Los Angeles. Her quick wit and friendly smile result in lively interviews with actors such as Mickey Rourke, Marissa Tomei, Leonardo DiCaprio, America Ferrera and many other top stars.
In the summer of 2008, Evelyn returned to RSN with a desire to host a show that would give the viewers an inside look at different local cuisines. She is a co-creator and co-producer of Dish It Out.
Hard work and dedication have earned Evelyn the lead role in national commercials and films such as CrimeSight (directed by Trey Lindsay) in which she played a psychic heroine while performing all of her own stunts. Evelyn has performed in several films for director Ski-ter Jones, supporting roles on American Gangster, Spiderman III, Flight of the Conchords, and a guest lead role on Miami Medical directed by Kenneth Fink.
As a stunt performer, Evelyn is bold and impressive, calling upon her rare level of endurance and physical ability. Dancing, horseback riding, and snowboarding, she is outstanding. She credits her extremely fit physique to her work as a former dancer for such artists as CBS recording sensation Chayanne from Puerto Rico, as well as her lifestyle of eating well, keeping a positive spirit, and hitting the gym.
Her skill set is exceptional. Evelyn is an expert with improvisation, comedic timing, and the Teleprompter and Ear Prompter skills that have earned her work with numerous high-caliber clients. It is very common for Ev to work repeatedly with the same directors and producers as they find her a joy to work with as well as reliable, diligent, and professional.
Vaccaro Productions, LLC, is Evelyns company specializing in video production. An example of her work is a spot for The Learning Annex. She's also now working as a Casting Director and Creative Consultant for interactive video games. Ev is currently in pre-production of her second music video and is in talks with other clients about upcoming projects.
Off Camera
Evelyn grew up in New York City where she developed a cosmopolitan perspective on the diverse social environment. Her high school encouraged volunteer work, but it was especially Evs mother who inspired her with personal examples of how to be an active, generous member of the community. A number of charitable organizations have benefited from Evelyns participation whether in New York City, Vermont, or other countries.
Evelyns commitment to giving back and helping others has led her to coach other on-camera host hopefuls to perfect their own techniques. She offers podcasts, video tutorials, and studio training for TV Hosting as well as Ear Prompter training and creating host reels. She volunteers annually as a professional coach for a student/teacher operated television station in Wilmington, Vermont. Seeing the students potential, Ev says Its just a matter of giving them a few tools and ideas to help them reach their goals.
Positive Energy and Growth
Evelyn is an avid lover of the outdoor life, traveling the globe and enjoying many new experiences. She has a broad range of athletic skills and loves film-making, fitness, and travel. She thrives on physically exhilarating adventures and rarely turns down a challenge. When not at work or training, you can usually find her in the Caribbean diving for conch, swimming with dolphins and other aquatic life, or simply enjoying some downtime with the local community.
A graduate of SUNY Albany, Evelyn's focus of study was in English, Communications, Theater and the Arts. She also studied in New York and London with top industry coaches.
As a professional communicator, Evelyn integrates her healthy lifestyle with a positive approach to her work. The growth of her skills has resulted in an international career with requests for her to fulfill increasingly complex roles. Count on Evelyn to meet the challenges of the future.

Can you let me know if the friends that I invited, who made accounts, are linked to my account?

Chris Hilton posted on Monster Fighters
I just submitted a pitch to the monster fighters contest. It isn't showing in the submissions page, or the latest news page. How long does it take for it to show up there? Thanks! :)
Ethan Olson
It should do it immediately, you might want to contact Caleb about it, or re-submit it just in case.

Hey Chris, I can see your submission on your personal "My submissions" page. You won't be able to see it in the submission list because the Pitches are not publicly visible.

So after the first "season", the Ideation Season & Production Season will not necessarily be in sync, right?
Caleb Light-Wills
If you look closely, you'll notice that they are not even in Sync now. While there are 13 Ideation Projects left, there are only 7 Production Projects.

hmm.. so how do you know which one has a wildcard option? and if you enter only a video without entering the pitch, you make something that can be totally different from the pitches that did win and possibly win the video phase?
Caleb Light-Wills
You can find this information in either 1) The Q+A on the right-hand side of every project page 2) The details section on every project page. The answer to your second question is yes, absolutely.

To follow the previous videos with the Handle It style, they use their bumper in the middle of the video, and have a little "funny" clip afterwards. Since there is no asset for this, how does that work with how we should edit it?

Insert a few frames of black.
