A man builds and plays a full studio drum set constructed entirely out of supplies from Ace Hardware. He starts playing each drum as he adds it to the set so the rhythm he creates becomes more elaborate as the drum set is built. In a stop-motion edit style, the visual of the drum set being built lines up with the rhythm of the beat. When it is completed, the drummer dazzles us with a truly impressive finale - all made possible by Ace Hardware. (Please watch pitch video for details.)

Open to time-lapse in front of a busy ACE Hardware. Cut to clean white studio shot of a large brown paper ACE bag. Bag vibrates tips over spilling contents which form up “military” style into groups of screws,wires, etc. Parts start assembling themselves into a music box that through the magic of stop motion will pay an original tune to end. All parts of music box except the pickup will come from ACE cut to fit. I have vast stop motion experience and am a devoted ACE customer (really).

A birdhouse falls from the top of the screen and lands in pieces on the floor. From offscreen, a Screwdriver marches a column of screws in to fix the birdhouse, but they’re stopped by an army of nails led by a stern-looking Hammer. The Screwdriver and Hammer each angrily demand that they fix the birdhouse. But while the two sides argue, a bottle of epoxy glue sneaks up to the birdhouse and fixes it. Cut to nails and screws standing on top of one another to make a tower to re-hang the birdhouse.

In stop motion animation, a school of fish made of keys are underwater near a sunken ship made of Ace Hardware materials. One of the keys opens a treasure chest filled with valuable coins made of Ace Hardware items burst forth. Then a pair of pliers that appears like a larger predatory fish arrives to gobble up the treasure. After all the creatures exit the scene, a group of small flashlights enter and appear like a scuba diving teams to rescue the remaining treasure.

A plane piece of wood is inspected by a hand. Suddenly, a hammer hits a nail and a drill powers up as a beat begins to immerge. Using a mix of live action and stop motion animation the piece of wood is transformed into a wooden turntable. A circular saw blade or a circular wood piece becomes the record. A nail becomes the needle. And a light switch becomes the cross fader as these everyday hardware pieces take on a hip new purpose. With Ace Hardware, anything is possible.
