    GROUND CONTROL

ONE SHOT: A young Hispanic girl flies a kite at the BEACH. TILT UP to the kite in the sky (CGI). TILT DOWN to reveal the environment has changed to a PLAYGROUND, where a boy controls an RC airplane. TILT UP to the RC plane (CGI) soaring between buildings. TILT DOWN to reveal a CITY STREET, where an African American girl controls an iPad. TILT UP and zoom past the buildings into outer space to the ISS. Clever visual effects entice all kinds of students to participate. Boards/treatment attached.

    Neighborhood Stroll

I would emulate the feel of a Spielberg movie for this. We start with people walking their dog, they notice the SPHERE and stare at in shock, drop their drinks. Even the dog is into it. The SPHERE keeps traveling, & everybody who sees it is in AWE. It's fun, playful, & lightly comic, while capturing the thrill of seeing such tech in a suburban environment. When you finally show the kid as the mastermind, he'd seem SO cool. The end of the video explains/promotes the Zero Robotics program.

    SHOW AND TELL

There's a kid, age 10, at the front of a classroom. He's holding a helmet and wearing a space suit. We see him from all angles in the room. On the chalk-board behind him we see code written out. It fills the board. He just finishes writing the last part on the chalk board. Kid speaks: Well for my summer vacation I designed the code that helped move a satilite into a better orbit. This was an exciting summer. The entire class and teacher are in awe VO: Zero Robotics..you belong here!

    Show Off

At the edge of a park, a kid focuses on his laptop. Across, a boy launches a kite into the air, followed by another with an R/C plane. A fiercely territorial battle for airspace begins to escalate, kite vs. plane. The kid on his laptop finally hits ENTER, looks up to the sky. A massive SHADOW crosses over the park, over the kids' gaping faces. The kite nosedives; the plane glides into a tree. The kid’s laptop displays a diagram of a satellite eclipsing the sun, and he smiles in victory.

    Head in the Sky

Music drives this piece and the infectiousness of an idea, from boredom to excitement. Static shots at first, then pans and tilts as children start floating. A teacher notices one child floating. She asks what he's thinking and suddenly math equations and zero robotics information appear magically on the chalk board. As everyone sees the board, they float as well. Compositing underwater footage and reversing footage achieves the float effect. The sound morphs from classroom to spaceship sounds.
