The idea I'm using has the two characters watching Star Wars on TV. Although I'm not showing anything from the movie, you can hear a lightsaber fight going on in the background. The two main characters are talking over it. Just making sure this won't be a problem.

Just my .02 on most repeated questions- MUSIC- unless you are editing to the music cues then stick placeholder music in your video for now. SOUND EFFECTS - Check the Forcenet as a start. Folks have been making fan films for decades. There are lots of resources. BUMPER- allot 3-5 seconds per Caleb

Some specific questions- does the bumper need to be built into the run time? If you are wildcarding should you submit a 60 and a 30 second cut of your submission? Are any of the judges weak-willed and susceptible to force suggestion (aka "these are not the droids you're looking for?") :)

All great questions, but I'm only qualified to answer the first two :) Bumper should be built into the run time allot 3-5 seconds. Judging will be based on both the :60 and :30, with emphasis placed on the :30, so concise storytelling is important, here.

When Vader taps the person on the shoulder , a small quote from "The Magic Tree" (3:57 in)would probably work, just before the inevitable statement of "The Imperial March".(ROTJ Disc 1 trk. 2-3:28 in)

For the part where someone is imitating Vader with a pringles can, most people would probably start with "Cantina Band" playing for a bit, myself included. BUT, "Parade of the Ewoks" is a nice bright tune also.

I have purchased EULA for many 3D models. The EULA specifically states that the models are licensed to be used in animations and video for commercial purposes however the models themselves are not exclusively owned by me. Other people can Purchase
the same models.Can they be used in these project

The project brief has been adjusted to accomodate for the cancellation of the release of Episodes II and III in 3-D. The larger Pingles/Star Wars partnership still very much intact and you should work toward creating video assets in support of it.

Just read that Lucasfilm/Disney has cancelled all future Star Wars 3D releases.

If this is the case, it would be AWESOME if Pringles could save the contest by opening it up to incorporate the original SW movies AND Darth Vader.

Everyone loves the original Star Wars movies. Still a win/win.

well most contest here on tongal have 3 parts. Part1 is whats the idea, like "a guy walks into a bar dressed like an elephant, and asks for a beer". Just one or two sentences. Part 2 is describe how you would film it, and what dialog would they say. and part 3 is go and film it!
