Couple of major items: this project is open to all types of animation, not just stop motion, it is focused on four central themes as opposed to seven, it has a larger prize pool and, finally, the objective is broader: create the greatest animated short film ever made. Do it using LEGO City.

Are you allowed to use dialogue? Because im confused and it states that you may only use the dialogue "hey" and to focus more on the visual.
Can we use other dialogue?
How long should it be?
Does it have to focus on police, fire etc?
Could it be a chase scene between civilians?

Under the Brand guidelines it states, "Do not use buildings or models that are not part of the LEGO City assortment." Does this mean that we should prepare to use only LEGO City sets and nothing else (not even extra filler pieces/sets or baseplates?). How exact is this requirement?

On LEGO reference movies, they took liberties with the set design, esp the mining set, but we should stick close to the production kits (requirement number 3)? Hi Lucas, The Mining set isn't out yet, so we'll have to wait and see on that one. However the requirement is really about utilizing the four sets at the center of this project. I.e., your submission probably shouldn't be about the airport, harbor or space sets. Make sense?
