The 1st thrown cell phone barely missed Jen’s head. The 2nd one hit her square in the jaw. I’ll never forget the look of shock on her face. We were supposed to be her friends, & here we were after soccer practice hurling our cell phones at her. I stood there and watched. I could have stopped them but I was too afraid. Jen quit the soccer team the next day. No, we didn’t really throw cell phones at her, just sent her mean texts, but maybe we should have... probably would have hurt her a lot less.

The effects of bullying can stay with a person throughout adulthood. It shapes a person's persona and the way they interact with others. Some of the most seemingly put together women have been bullied. This would be a vignette of a young teen telling a first-person account of her experiences with bullying. The teen we get to know, at the end of the video, we see the woman she has grown up to be. She confirms for the viewer that being bullied as a teen still effects her greatly today.

Some people don't realize how mean they are to others until they see their behavior from another perspective. What if a bully was able to witness their own terrible behavior - as an invisible witness? And also see how much it hurts the people they are bullying. Would they change their way like Ebenezer Scrooge in A Christmas Carol?

This feisty group of super"she"roes tackle bullying and "teen mean." The 4 of them each have a unique alias and power. For example: Chatterbox (the communicator), Butterfly (the social one), GoGo (the cheerleader), and Harmony (the peacemaker). Whenever a teen is overwhelmed by teen mean, a Shero senses her distress and answers the call. At first, only one Shero tries to help but it quickly becomes clear that it takes a village (i.e., the rest of the Sheroes and other teens) to stop bullying.

In super slow motion, a phone twirls in the air. We hear the bully saying that what she's doing isn't bad, no one really gets hurt. The phone twirls, we now see its being tossed up and down, still in slow-mo. It's thrown, and flies in slow motion toward Susan, our scared target. Susan winces and the phone freezes in mid-air before contact. REWIND! We show the actual malicious text that was being sent and see Susan receiving it, heart-broken. Voice over explains how words CAN hurt.

Inspired by your note: 'bullies are just like you & me.' Fluid shots take us from scene to scene. We open on an instance of verbal bullying. Scene 2: that victim takes out her anger on somebody else via indirect bullying. Scene 3: THAT victim reacts by bullying someone else on Social Networking... The chain continues until one girl raises her hand and puts a stop to the cycle... Which creates a domino effect in which all the wrong-doings are made better, bullies & victims reconcile. Uplifting!
