Insurance costs are excessively high for 18-25 age group. Aging shouldn't be the only recourse to lower costs. We're not all reckless!

You take the most common accidents and people can click on them to see how their current policy covers them if what they click on happens. Thus breaking it down into simpler terms and a way that people who arent' allstate agents can understand.

Create a mobile app utilizing GPS that looks for distance traveled versus time to ensure safe driving/no speeding. User is rewarded the more miles the app is "turned on" and will encourage safe driving as they know they are monitored.

Create a solution to change policies as needed (daily, weekly, monthly). Increase coverage for road trips, decrease it when working from home. Add during storm season, reduce it other months. Increase on days using boats & motorcycles, then decrease.

Create a policy in which your rate will be "locked in" for the life of that vehicle. There will be a price ceiling set that it will never go over, and rate decreaces each year without an accident or ticket, which will carry over to new vehicles.

Taking the Questions Out of Your Policy
Provide a clear chart that shows the types of coverage in one column and what having that type of coverage means if you need to use it in another. If relevant a third column could show the additional cost of having the coverage.

An animation that shows a family going through various seasons of life. They go from living in the city & biking to work, to pregnant with a new car; from playing ball in front of their city apartment, to a fishing trip in the suburbs. As they grow up, their insurance coverage adapts to their needs (i.e. more coverage when Dad gives Son driving lessons). The tone is nostalgic; the style is 2D cut-out animation that poetically captures the changing of the seasons. See reel, video, & storyboards.

Roll With The Punches, Like Me
Fun, humorous animated interview with Molly, 25, an upbeat girl-next-door, as she describes policy she'd love. One that's "flexible, and changes to fit my life. Gives me extra coverage when I need it and saves me money when I don't." As examples, she describes road trip with her friends, when she'd like extra coverage. Then she'll be babysitting for her sister for 2 months & won't be driving at all, so could save $$ then. Animation will bring her stories to life as she talks. (See img script)

Our plan is to create this spot in a Mockumentary style, รก la Best in Show or Modern Family. A mother will speak to camera about how she uses the "Coverage Slider" feature of Allstate's new app. When the family is going on a road trip, she increases the coverage via a slider on her iPhone app. When they return, she slides it back to her normal coverage. It ends on a humorous button as the kids borrow the car, and she slides the coverage slider to the maximum. Check out our video for more.

Our idea is to show the "What if" idea in a fun yet educational way. With fluent motion graphics -a grid with icons for possible accidents appears. When we click on one "accident" it flips and we will see everything it covers. Next to it there will be a meter where you can chose a better coverage and it will instantly show what would change. A voice over will explain everything we see.

An iconic scene: two young drivers - taunting and posing - a girl with a scarf - a drag race! The sounds of roaring engines and a building sense of anticipation. But once the flag is dropped, the drivers each launch a mobile app, and drive very safely. Reveal: the Allstate app displays the driver's speed vs. the current speed limit, points earned and social ranking. The VO explains that young Allstate customers can race their friends to be the safest driver, and save money on car insurance.
