FOR THIS PROJECT, EVERY PIECE OF FOOTAGE THAT YOU USE IN YOUR VIDEO MUST BE SHOT ON THE HTC ONE X PHONE.

NO EXCEPTIONS!

Smart phone video technology is truly amazing, and the HTC One X just raised the bar. Taking cinematic capabilities to the next level, the HTC One X inspires you to capture your most amazing “Don’t Miss” moments that are so awe-inspiring, magnificent, funny, surprising or original they are truly something not to be missed, and come out looking like they were shot by a professional Hollywood director using millions of dollars in camera equipment, lighting packages… and, of course, craft services.  AT&T is giving you your shot to bring your most unique events and provocative memories to life by producing video that looks so cool and so artistic that people won’t believe it was shot on a camera phone.

The mission of the #DONTMISS campaign for the HTC One X phone is to highlight the amazing video/photo capabilities of the device’s camera:  Rapid-fire photo taking.  Hi-res video.  Low-light functionality.  And the ability to pull gorgeous stills straight from video playback.

This isn’t about storing away a memory in a dusty album to reflect back on later.  It’s about being able to catch the fleeting and spontaneous once-in-a-lifetime events, large and small, that most often come up out of nowhere. Be the photographer/videographer who kicks off the conversation.  Who provokes the dialogue. Who shoots something irreplaceable.

The time has come to create your masterpiece… solely using footage taken from your HTC One X phone.

*Winning pitch creators will be given a production advance and WILL BE PROVIDED WITH an HTC One X phone to execute their vision.*

**As noted above, the entire video MUST be shot on the phone. Use of any other footage will disqualify the participant.  At any point, we may request a raw file transfer and failure to do so will also disqualify the participant.**

So, get on it!

The goal of this project is to use the HTC One X to create a unique and provocative 30-120 second video that portrays an event that can be classified as a “Don’t Miss” moment.

This is your chance to capture something so unexpected it will make you say "OMG did you see that? Was that just Oprah on the zip line?!"

AT&T wants something rare and spontaneous that will encourage sharing and discussing, and content that will ideally allow for eye-popping stills to be pulled from the video <-- this should be highlighted in your video and visually displayed as a cool feature of the HTC One X.

This project will be worth a total of $30,500 and consist of two phases, a Pitch Phase and a Video Phase. Be sure to read the following information carefully.

PHASE 1: PITCH – Using text (500 characters or less), images (storyboards), video, and external links (to other supporting assets, i.e., your reel, etc.), give us your Pitch for how YOU would go about producing a 30-120 second video based on the project objective. The FIVE most compelling Pitch Entries will be selected and the winning Members will receive a $1,000 production advance to help create their videos during the Video Phase. Those winners (upon submitting their Winner's Affidavit and IP Assignment) will also be GUARANTEED to a winning place in the subsequent Video Phase. So, if your Pitch Entry is selected and you submit a video during the Video Phase, you will win a minimum of $2,000 with a 1-in-6 shot at the $15,000 first place video prize. Remember your Pitch Entry can include any, and all, of the assets mentioned above. But you MUST include a link to some of your previous video work on Tongal or elsewhere to be considered for this phase. To avoid information cascades, all Pitch Entries will remain private until after the winners of the Video Phase are announced. Alternatively, even if you don’t win the Pitch Phase or choose not to create a pitch, you will still have the opportunity to create a “Wild Card” video completely of your own creative devices during the Video Phase.

PHASE 2: VIDEO – The FIVE winning creators from the Pitch Phase will utilize their $1,000 advance to create a 30-120 second video based upon their winning Pitch Entry.  In addition, the Video Phase is open to all other Members, who are invited to submit Entries.  For purposes of this project, these additional Video Entries are referred to as “Wild Card” Video Entries.  The Judges will score all Wild Card Video Entries.  The one (1) highest scoring Wild Card Video Entries and the 5 winning Pitch Entries will be scored to determine the standings for the Video Entry prizes.  Remember, the FIVE winning Pitch Phase Members WILL BE Video Phase winners, as will ONE of the “Wild Card” Video Entry Members, and, subject to the Official Rules and these Project Details, each of the seven (6) winning Members of the Video Phase will be entitled to one of the Video Phase cash prizes.

--Music: Tongal has partnered with Audiosocket, a boutique music licensing and technology company representing more than 2,400 emerging bands, composers and record labels. This is not "stock" music. It is an inventory of more than 40,000 original, culturally relevant songs and music that have been compiled into a premium roster.  Audiosocket's music will be available to Tongal members at no charge solely for their incorporation into Tongal members' submissions to the AT&T Project.  Tongal members are encouraged to browse the Audiosocket roster, available by clicking on the "Audiosocket" button on the right hand side of this page. If you are interested in using a track from the Audiosocket roster, as described above, just add the track(s) you want to use to your cart using the "+cart" button, then click the "checkout" button.  Enter the Tongal project name and click the "purchase and download" button to acquire the track for free ($0.00). Lastly, click the "download track" button, which will initiate the music file download. You may only use THREE Audiosocket tracks maximum as part of your video submission.
