Copyright

I was reading the Intellectual Property Assignment today. I used a royalty free music, decided like that by the author so that anybody, for any future project can use that same music. My question is: what exactly Tongal is putting a copyright on regarding the sountrack of the submission? Tell me if I'm wrong but if think that you are putting a copyright just on the edited 30s soundtrack as it is in the submission. I guess that in the case of royalty free music nobody can put copyright on it, is that correct? Thanks, Emmanuel

Caleb Light-Wills Hey Emmanuel,
Tongal is not putting a copyright on the music 1) because Tongal is not purchasing your work, the sponsor is and 2) you are correct, nobody can copyright royalty-free music.
Hope this helps,
Caleb
