This is a lame question, I know, but does Tongal really pay what they say? I'm a newbie and the prize money just seems too good to be true. To any of ya'll who may have won in the past and have some feedback on this: an answer would be appreciated. Thanks!

How come my MSword application says I only have 242 characters and when i cut and paste into the concept box it only allows one quarter of my total word count? 250 characters is accurate in the word document.

If you are not a US citizen and you win on Tongal, you fill out a W-8 BEN instead of the W-9, but the rest of the paperwork is the same and you can be paid by either paypal or check.

We pay by either a check or PayPal. Submitting a W-9 helps us verify each person that we send money to.

I am not US Citizen, how will I get paid IF I win?

"Why do I have to put my Social Security number on the W-9 form?

Tongal winners need to be valid individuals or businesses verified by a valid tax id, either SS or FEIN."

If I completed an entire professional animation for such a project, I would much rather keep the project and the rights to the ideas I put into it instead of being given much less than fair compensation.

@Alden, Nine West is purchasing the additional 5 animations as a bonus because there was so much great work. They wanted to thank the people that stood out but didnt place 1-5 in the competition

Nine west is paying $250 each for use and ownership of the fifth place animation and 10 others?! that just seems like a travesty for all the work those animators put into what amount to be 11 close to pro commercials...
