Idea submission with web links?

Is it really fair to be able to supply a web link in the 140 character limit of the Idea phase? Seems a picture is worth a 1,000 words and a video might be worth millions of words. Allowing the inclusion of web links at this phase is not in the spirit of the 140 character limit
